This award recognizes the 100 most technologically significant new products for the year.  The Kodiak™ container focused on the benefit of active temperature control without power, five-day hold time, on-board temperature logging and monitoring, and the overall Cold Chain Shipping System.  A key attribute effecting the Kodiak container winning the award stemmed from that while the value of pharmaceutical and biotechnology products has grown exponentially over the past 20 years, the methods and reliability for shipping them has remained essentially unchanged.  The Kodiak™ solution met the need for improved distribution and provided the type of evidence the FDA requires ensuring the quality of temperature sensitive products.
