Kodiak to Offer Mineral Desiccant (MD) by Esorb
Kodiak Thermal
Technologies, Inc. is now offering humidity absorbing Mineral Desiccant (MD) by Esorb to be used
in shipping containers.
By adding Esorb desiccants to your payload, they will help to prevent and limit moisture condensation that may form. There are many types of moisture absorbers or desiccants. The most common types are Silica gels, Mineral (clay), and Calcium Chloride. the Esorb desiccant is a mixture of Clay (90%) and Calcium Chloride (10%).
Kodiak chose to use Esorb desiccants because they are ecological, economical and effective. Other advantages of Esorb desiccants include their superior performance (at 25°C each packet absorbs more than 50% of its own weight). They are completely made up of 100% biodegradable, non-toxic materials which means they can be disposed of right along with normal waste. Esorb packets are packaged inside of non-dusting Tyvek packaging and come in a variety of sizes. Esorb desiccants have many uses and applications, including pharmaceutical and food product applications.
